Bill co-founded AUCTORIS, formerly known as Benefit Concepts of Colorado, Inc., in 1978 and serves clients in over 22 States.  Bill serves privately held business owners, family businesses and farm and ranch families. He practices a values-based planning process with his clients.  Bill uses a clearly stated set of principles and values from each client that then drives the planning process to a successful conclusion.  He works to achieve tangible results in a cost effective manner. He often assumes the role of project coordinator to align the efforts of all professionals toward the client’s objectives.

Bill is a member of the Aspen Family Business Group.  They are a premier international resource for families in business and have more than a century of combined years of experience helping families.  With his fellow members, Bill co-authored the book, “The Keys to Family Business Success.” The book lays out a series of problems unique to family businesses with examples of real situations faced by most family businesses.  It explores practical solutions that families can use to ensure their family business can continue and be successful generation after generation.

In 2012, Bill became a Certified Advisor with the Institute for Preparing Heirs at Pepperdine University.  The Institute was founded for the purpose of training, education and research on family dynamics and wealth transfer.   Bill’s completion of the certification process demonstrates his commitment to the in-depth preparation of heirs for the receipt and management of assets in a manner to foster their development and lifetime goals.   Not only does Bill prepare assets for heirs, he takes care to prepare heirs for assets.

Bill frequently speaks throughout the country on the topics of business succession, farm and ranch succession, preparation of heirs and exit planning.  Some of his guest speaking contributions include: the Colorado Bar Association, The Forum for Ag Lending National Annual Meeting, North American Steel Alliance (NASA), Southern Methodist University (SMU), Baylor University, The Family Business Council at California State University at Fullerton, University of Denver, New Mexico Farm Credit Bureau, American Business Bank, Vistage, Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), Alpine Bank as well as several private briefings for trusted advisors and their clients.

Bill graduated from Valdosta State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in mathematics and a minor in physics.  After graduating from college, Bill entered the Air Force. He flew 130 missions over North and South Vietnam in the F-4 Phantom. He was credited with downing a MIG-17 over North Vietnam and the aircraft he flew is mounted at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia as part of a display of USAF combat aircraft.  In 1978, Bill helped establish Benefit Concepts of Colorado, Inc., now doing business as AUCTORIS.  He has pursued his professional education by completing his CLU® and ChFC® studies.

Bill and his wife share time between their homes in Scottsdale, Arizona and Castle Pines, Colorado. They have two sons who are married to their wonderful daughters-in-law.  Bill and Joy love spending time with their seven grandchildren.

Bruce A. Fowler serves on the firm’s Executive Committee, and is the chair of the firm’s Wealth and Succession Planning Department.  He aids his clients in defining and implementing family wealth transfer goals, structuring estates in a manner that minimizes the estate tax impact and maximizes asset protection, and transferring family-owned and closely held businesses in a tax-efficient manner. Bruce helps many of his clients implement their philanthropic goals, and represents several large family foundations. Bruce also provides advice to beneficiaries and trustees regarding their rights and responsibilities, and is experienced in probate and litigation proceedings.

Bruce also represents clients in tax controversies, most specifically in the state and local tax area. He represents clients during tax audits, and has successfully negotiated many favorable settlements of tax assessments. In cases where a settlement was not feasible, Bruce has represented clients in the protest and litigation of tax assessments. In a recent case, Bruce successfully argued for a reversal of a $2.5 million sales tax assessment.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Bruce practiced for five years as a CPA with Deloitte & Touche, LLP, and as a state and local tax specialist for a Fortune 500 company. Immediately after law school, Bruce practiced in the areas of tax litigation and estate planning with several national and regional law firms before joining Fairfield and Woods.

Pam is an insurance broker who designs and services insurance programs for a wide variety of businesses.  Her areas of expertise include habitational accounts, financial institutions, non-profit organizations including independent schools, architecture firms and technology businesses to name a few.

Pam has been active in the Professional Independent Insurance Agents of Colorado (PIIAC) during her years in the business, serving in various capacities on the Board of Directors, as well as several committees.  She’s also served in various positions with the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America (IIABA), allowing her to network and learn from brokers across the country.

After graduating from the University of Colorado in Boulder with a B.S. in Journalism, Pam worked for one national and one local media-buying firm before making the jump to insurance.  Pam’s been with ISU Insurance full time since June of 1993.  She worked part time in the agency during high school and college as well.

Outside the office Pam enjoys running and golfing in our great Colorado climate, and scuba diving when she’s out of town!

Jenae Anderson is a Relationship Executive with the Denver Middle Market team.  In this role, Jenae is responsible for both relationship management and business development, targeting companies with $20 million to $500 million in annual revenues.  Jenae has 20 years of relationship management experience within the banking industry.

ALEXANDER F. BECKER serves as Vice President and is a partner at Real Estate Consultants of Colorado, LLC. Alex oversees strategy, implementation and management of REC’s buyer/tenant representation program and meets the transactional needs of multiple clients throughout Colorado and the United States.
